How's it going everybody!? As many of you may know PSX was this past weekend. One word can describe what we got to see. Wow! As video game fans, especially of the PlayStation we were treated with a fantastic conference. While games like Spider-Man, God of War, and Detroit weren't there, we got several other big announcements! Below are some of those games that really knocked our socks off! We would love to hear your feedback on these games too. Leave a comment or give us a shout over on Twitter @Nerd_901. Now let's get into some of the jaw dropping games and announcements!! Get hype and enjoy!
Uncharted: Lost Legacy
We here at Nerd901 are huge fans of the Uncharted series. So, to get a little more of Chloe and Nadine is great news. Sure, we knew that this DLC was coming eventually, but we had no idea what it could be. Most people thought it may have something to do with Sam Drake, Nathan's brother. But we welcome this new story with Chloe and Nadine. Note: it's a bit long.
Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite
Wow! That is all we can say about this game. It looks incredible. Over the past couple of weeks news about this game leaked. That may have taking a little hype away from this game. Though, that didn't stop us from getting pumped for this trailer announcement. If someone had told us we were getting both a new Marvel vs Capcom game and Injustice 2 all in the same year, we would have laughed in their face. But now look! As we look towards 2017's fighting games we have a huge smile on our faces.. It's also our understanding that this game will be like Killer Instinct on the Xbox One. More fighters and possible arenas will be released as "seasons". Basically, the game that keeps on giving throughout the year.
Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy
Thanks to this summer at E3 we knew this was coming. It was announced that we were getting all 3 games remastered. What we didn't know was how good it would look. This trailer was pretty impressive given how long ago the series came out. The game brings back some serious childhood memories. I think I can freely speak for Adam here, and say we are looking forward to popping this game in one more time.
These trailers show a couple of collections that will be coming to the PS4. WipEout and PaRappa the Rapper are industry darlings. I know I can't wait to get my hands on Parappa. If you stick around for the whole trailer, we get a little surprise of Patapon and LocoRoco. Two games that have a nice cult following.
Of course what would PSX be without some VR content. Though, it was a bit surprising we didn't see a new wave of VR games. We thought we would get more game announcements. I wonder when those will be announced now? For the record I'm thinking that Resident Evil should be renamed to Resident Evil 7: Hell No!
Smaller and Vita Games
These trailers were to showcase some of the smaller games, plus games that will come to the Vita. These so happen to be the ones that caught our attention.
This game has been in development for some time now. Maybe as long as Final Fantasy XV and The Last Guardian. It seems like it was in a little bit a development hell. Switching names, game play, and direction. Now it seems to have found it's feet. The game looks gorgeous. I have a feeling this game screams to Adam. Hell, I may check it out for myself.
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Some full disclosure here folks. I did not watch this trailer. I have seen all of this game I want to see. I feel like anything else may spoil or be too much overkill. I know this game is going to be incredible. I don't have to see anymore of it. Though, with that being said if you watched it I hope you enjoyed it.
The Last of Us: Part II
Damn Naughty Dog! Of course, they book end this conference. They deserve every bit of it. They truly are at the top of the gaming industry. This game won't be out for a few years, but to give us a little peak only fuels the fire. We probably won't see much about this game over a period of time. That won't stop us from watching this tease over and over again for the foreseeable future. We can't wait to see what Joel and Ellie are up to in the second installment of this game. Bravo, Naughty Dog! Bravo!
