It's officially described as, "A six week celebration of Chinese culture featuring massive lanterns, inspiring performances, and incredible cuisine."
It goes without saying that the awe-inspiring massive Chinese Lanterns are the star of the festival. Just getting a look at them up close takes your breath away. But the fun doesn't end there. In addition to the titular Lanterns the festival will also be offering a number of other fun attractions, including: Chinese Acrobats, fireworks, Virtual Reality Rides, The Forbidden City Maze, authentic Chinese food and tons more.
As you take in the sites and enjoy the food and performances, you'll also have the chance to learn about the history of China's Lantern Light Festivals. It's fascinating stuff, and I highly recommend you check out. The Lantern Light Festival kicks off tonight and runs until Sunday, May 7. Here's all the pertinent information:

Free parking is available. Most activities are between $5.00 and $8.00 without a wristband. On-site box office opens at 6:00 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.
